The book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter

7

¹ The word of the LORD came to me; ² You, O mortal, thus says the Lord God to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 7 verses 1 to 2)

Oh God my Father one day at the hour that You choose to be You will also declare the end of this life and the beginning of a better one. I pray that when You decide to call me I will not be found in deep sin but will be ready and worthy to appear before You Amen.

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 of 48

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter

6

¹ The word of the LORD came to me: ² O mortal, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, ³ and say, You mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains and the hills, to the ravines and the valleys; I, I myself will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verses 1 to 3)

Oh brothers and sisters God my Father is calling us to be holy, to set our vision on to Him, to become aware of our sins and to repent while there is still time. Many things are happening today such as the spread of the Corona Virus, that nobody can tell how long we have on this earth. Therefore we are to make super good use of the time we have and invest it in our relationship with You and with others Amen.

⁴ Your altars shall become desolate, and your incense stands shall be broken; and I will throw down your slain in front of your idols.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 4)

Oh God my Father our churches have become empty due to the spread of this coronavirus and our spiritual practices have come to nought for worship is only on television. Before this time our churches were already becoming empty of the parishioners and now if this pattern goes on for a long time I fear that many people will abandon their worship to You my God and Father.

⁵ I will lay the corpses of the people of Israel in front of their idols; and I will scatter your bones around your altars.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 5)

Since we have disobeyed Your ways oh God my Father we have become inundated with corpses ready to be cremated and others to be buried. We are paying the price of our sinful ways Amen. Have mercy oh God my Father even though we do not deserve it. Amen.

⁶ Wherever you live, your towns shall be waste and your high places ruined, so that your altars will be waste and ruined, " your idols broken and destroyed, your incense stands cut down, and your works wiped out.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 6)

Oh God, my Father, You will always have the first and best place in my life. I will share Your place with nobody and nothing Amen.

⁷ The slain shall fall in your midst; then you shall know that I am the LORD.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 7)

Oh God, my Father indeed many around the world are being slain and are falling in our midst for we have sinned against You Amen.

⁸ But I will spare some. Some of you shall escape the sword among the nations and be scattered through the countries.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 8)

Oh God my Father to this day Your people have been scattered in many countries in the world as in the saying the 'Wandering Jew' however as Christians we are also scattered for we are pilgrims in a world that is not our home Amen. Our home is with You in heaven. Amen.

⁹ Those of you who escape shall remember me among the nations where they are carried captive, how I was crushed by their wanton heart that turned away from me, and their wanton eyes that turned after their idols. Then they will be loathsome in their own sight for the evils that they have committed, for all their abominations.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 9)

Oh God my Father those of us who escape the judgment from this world, who manage to thwart the systems of justice, will always carry with them the pain of their guilt and they will never live as whole and happy persons Amen.

¹⁰ And they shall know that I am the LORD: I did not threaten in vain to bring this disaster upon them.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 10)

Oh God my Father before the Corona Virus hit Malta we were living an alienated life in which we took many things for granted on many different levels. Now that we are living on the alert of this new virus, I pray that we be also aware of our spiritual reality for only your love, compassion and the sacrament of reconciliation is the only vaccine Amen.

¹¹ Thus says the Lord God; Clap your hands and stamp your foot, and say, Alas for all the vile abomination of the house of Israel! For they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 11)

Raise your hands and rejoice in prayer to God for He is our Saviour. We will drink our share of the chalice of sorrows however the arms of God are always ready to comfort us after the storm Amen.

¹² Those far off shall die of pestilence; those nearby shall fall by the sword; and any who are left and are spared shall die of famine. Thus I will spend my fury upon them.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 12)

Oh God my Father I pray that You hold back Your fury for the world, for if You had to unleash Your fury we would be lost forever, for we cannot exist without You Amen.

¹³ And you shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountain tops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing odor to all their idols.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 13)

Oh God my Father today everything is being done openly, however, those who worship You often do it in a private way, while Jehovah Witnesses and those of a Protestant denomination with great courage proclaim Your Holy Name to many others.

I pray that as Roman Catholics we become braver in order to proclaim the message of the Good News Amen. Thank You, Jesus.

¹⁴ I will stretch out my hand against them, and make the land desolate and waste, throughout all their settlements, from the wilderness to Riblah. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 6 verse 14)

Oh God my Father many times it is too late according to human standards before we realize that You are at work in a given situation and that without knowing or being aware we might be working against You instead of for You. I pray that we reflect on our actions in order to realize if we are on Your right hand of justice or support or if we are suffering the might of Your left hand Amen.

I would like to end this meditation on the sixth chapter of the book of Ezekiel the prophet with the following prayer:-

Oh God my Father many times we have been caught alienated from Your ways and have followed the created idols of our time, media, fashion and even culture and technology. Our values have changed and You are no longer on our agenda. Covid-19 was not enough to shake us out of our alienation. I pray that You teach us to give You the number 1 place in our lives Amen. Thank You Jesus.

The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 of 48

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter

5

¹ And you, O mortal, take a sharp sword; use it as a barber's razor and run it over your head and your beard; then take balances for weighing, and divide the hair. ² One third of the hair you shall burn in the fire inside the city when the days of the siege are completed; one third you shall take and strike with the sword all around the city; and one third you shall scatter to the wind, and I will unsheathe the sword after them.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verses 1 to 2)

Oh brothers and sisters when God asks something of us, he gives us all the necessary instructions in how to fulfil the given task and even a given time when to do it Amen. I pray that we always be eyes and ears open in order to listen to the call of God and obey its instructions Amen.

³ Then you shall take from these a small number, and bind them in the skirts of your robe.  From these, again, you shall take some, throw them into the fire and burn them up; from there a fire will come out against all the house of Israel.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 3)

Oh God, my Father, You judgment is never-ending. You decide whom to use and You decide whom shall perish the fires of hell. However, from those You choose for Yourself, a fire will burn out against the whole world. Amen.

⁴ From these, again you shall take some, throw them into the fire and burn them up; from there a fire will come out against all the house of Israel.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 4)

Oh God my Father, even from those who are under Your protection there will be those who will suffer pain and tribulations in order to be a sign for all of us. I pray that You teach us to learn the lesson behind such events Amen.

⁵Thus says the Lord GOD: This is Jerusalem; I have set her in the centre of the nations, with countries all around her, ⁶ But she has rebelled against my ordinances and my statutes, becoming more wicked than the nations and the countries all around her, rejecting my ordinances and not following my statutes. ⁷ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are all around you, and have not followed my statutes or kept my ordinances, but have acted according to the ordinances of the nations that are all around you; ⁸ therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I, I myself am coming against you; I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations. ⁹ And because of all your abominations I will do to you what I have never yet done, and the like of which I will never do again.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verses 5 to 9)

Oh God, my Father, it is true that as a Roman Catholic Church we have gone against Your commandments, however, how can we ever continue to exist if You are against us. I pray oh God that You do not give us what we deserve even though we merit it, my God and Father Amen. In the name of the world, I a sinner beg for Your mercy and everlasting love Amen.

¹⁰ Surely parents shall eat their children in your midst, and children shall eat their parents; I will execute judgments on you, and any of you who survive I will scatter to every wind.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verses 5 to 10)

Oh God, my Father when we destroy each other's self-esteem or when we humiliate each other we are eating one another since we are destroying each other's self, which could have both psychological but even spiritual consequences. I pray that You teach us to construct each other on all levels Amen.

¹¹ Therefore, as I live, says the Lord God, surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations-therefore I will cut you down; my eye will not spare, and I will have no pity.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 11)

Oh God my Father as a nation we accept the responsibility of our misgivings be they great or small, we humbly express our sorry for what we have done. In the name of the World, I beg for Your mercy Amen for we deserve all we get for we are human and subject to sin and cannot exist without You Amen.

¹² One third of you shall die of pestilence or be consumed by famine among you; one third shall fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind and will unsheathe the sword after them.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 12)

I thank You oh God my Father for being a descendant of the last one-third of Your people, even though as a people we are still being harassed by the sword of sin, however, I am convinced that You are still with us Amen.

¹³ My anger shall spend itself, and I will vent my fury on them and satisfy myself; and they shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken in my jealousy when I spend my fury on them.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 13)

Oh God, my Father, I beg that You spare us of Your wrath, for if You are against us, who can ever be in our favour Amen.

¹⁴ Moreover I will make you a desolation and an object of mocking among the nations around you, in the sight of all that pass by.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 14)

Oh God, my Father there are moments when You cause us to feel desolate and depressed, stripped off our own resources, however, these times are very positive because we are transforming like the butterfly from our old natural and selfish state to a more spiritual and higher state of being Amen. I pray that You protect us oh God during this vulnerable time Amen.

¹⁵ You shall be a mockery and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and fury, and with furious punishments-I, the LORD, have spoken-¹⁶ when I loose against you my deadly arrows of famine, arrows for destruction, which I will let loose to destroy you, and when I bring more and more famine upon you and break your staff of bread, ¹⁷ I will send famine and wild animals against you, and they will rob you of your children; pestilence and bloodshed shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I the LORD, have spoken.

(The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 5 verse 15 to 17)

Oh God my Father, may Your will be done, I am fully convinced that You are in control of all that happens in my life, and even other events such as this Corona Virus that is infecting the world, All that has been written all shall be done to the last dot. Amen.

I would like to end this meditation on the fifth chapter of the book of the Prophet Ezekiel with the following prayer;-

If it is sickness or if it is health, if it is wealth or if it is poverty I accept from Your hand my God and Father, for it is You who gives and it is You that takes Away. Amen

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 to 48

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter

4

¹ And you, O mortal, take a brick and set it before you. On it portray a city, Jerusalem; ² and put siegeworks against it, and build a siege wall against it, and cast up a ramp against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it all around. ³ Then take an iron plate and place it as an iron wall between you and the city; set your face toward it, and let it be in a state of siege, and press the siege against it. This is a sign for the house of Israel.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verses 1 to 3)

Oh God, my beloved Father, if we had to place the Vatican and other Churches in a similar situation surrounded by a transparent glass ball You would be able to see those who appear to be open to Your ways from those who are still not. The Church is being hurt by such people who are doing much internal damage to the extent that this is affecting people whose faith is already unstable. I pray for healing and conversion my God and Father Amen.

⁴ Then lie on your left side, and place the punishment of the house of Israel upon it; you shall bear their punishment for the number of the days that you lie there.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 4)

Oh God my beloved Father, You are in control of every detail of our life, You are aware of our times or moments of peace and glory, and You are also and in control of the moments or periods of our putting to the test by means of trials and tribulations. May Your will be done, my God and Father Amen.

⁵ For I assign to you a number of days, three hundred ninety-days, equal to the number of the years of their punishment; and so you shall bear the punishment of the house of Israel.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 5)

Oh God my beloved Father, You deal so fairly and in a just way with us, in the sense that You do not allow us to endure more hardship more than we can bear, for in truth as sinners we are not entitled to Your love and mercy, however You are a loving and compassionate God Amen.

⁶ When you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and bear the punishment of the house of Judah; forty days I assign you, one day for each year.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 6)

Oh God my Father during my life on earth I am passing through many stages of development and even challenges. You are giving me experiences in many different stages such as the religious life, the life of marriage, the life of a social worker and even now the status of a single separated person. From all sides, there are tasks to be fulfilled and challenges to be faced, however with You by my side I have nothing to worry about Amen.

⁷ You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and with your arm bared you shall prophesy against it.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 7)

I would have no greater pleasure than that of proclaiming Your Name my God and Father, if You want to use me in doing so, go ahead, I am willing in both heart and spirit. Give me the words and I will go wherever You will send me and do whatever You command me to do Amen. Thank You, Jesus.

⁸ See I am putting cords on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 8)

Oh God my loving Father, I also wish that You control me in such a way, that permits me only to do that which is according to Your will so that I will always walk in Your ways and not in mine Amen.

⁹ And you, take wheat and barley, beans and lentils, millet and spelt; put them into one vessel, and make bread for yourself During the number of days that you lie on your side, three hundred ninety days, you shall eat it.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 9)

Oh God my Father, the basic ingredients that sustain my life are the blessed sacraments, prayer time and my relationships during my daily life. This the perfect combination amen.

¹⁰  The food that you eat shall be twenty shekels a day by weight; at fixed times you shall eat it. ¹¹ And you shall drink water by measure, one-sixth of a hin; at fixed times you shall drink. ¹² You shall eat it as a barley-cake, baking it in their sight on human dung.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verses 10 to 12)

Our perfect diet is in our consuming Your Word as in praying on the Bible, my God and Father. Every verse is a  vitamin, carbohydrate and protein enough to nourish both our body and our souls Amen.

¹³ The LORD said, "Thus shall the people of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations to which I will drive them."

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 13)

Oh God my Father even in Malta we are being given foul bread to eat that we consider as being healthy, for that which is offered by the world often has only, appearance but few substances or good in it. Therefore we are to be careful in what we consider as being clean and healthy from what is not Amen.

¹⁴ Then I said, "Ah Lord GOD! I have never defiled myself, from my youth up until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by animals, nor has carrion flesh come into my mouth."

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 14)

Oh God like Ezekiel we may try to defend ourselves before You by saying that we have never killed or stolen anything from others, however, if we had to ask ourselves if we lacked in love towards others we might start stuttering. I pray that we adhere to the rule of love Amen,

¹⁵ Then he said to me, "See, I will let you have cow's dung instead of human dung, on which you may prepare your bread."

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verse 15)

Oh God at first this verse may seem rather odd and revolting even to read especially if one has a fertile imagination. However on reflecting we are basing our life on what the earth feeds us, the healthy and unhealthy messages proposed by the media, politics and at times even science. At times is not better than dung. However, the dung given by nature has nutrients that make the earth richer. The nutrients of praying on Your Word the Bible are healthier than the 20.00 pm news as broadcasted, on television Amen.

¹⁶ Then he said to me, Mortal, I am going to break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; they shall eat bread by weight and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure and in dismay. ¹⁷ Lacking bread and water, they will look at one another in dismay, and waste away under their punishment.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God my Father, so it was written and so it has been done to this very day. The people of Jerusalem and the promised land are living their life under the stress of being attacked and denied of their land. I pray that You do justice to Your people so that they will be given back the lands that You promised them Amen.

Oh God my Father, I would like to end this meditation on the fourth chapter of the book of the prophet Ezekiel with the following prayer:-

Oh God my Father, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray that learn to listen obey and do what You ask of us and may we accept all that we do as coming from You. I pray for Your people and for the Roman Catholic Church and other churches so that together we keep on walking on our pathway to heaven Amen

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3

The book of Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter

3

¹ He said to me, O mortal, eat what is offered to you; eat this scroll and go, speak to the house of Israel.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 Verse 1)

Oh God my Father, today You are also offering me Your Word as in the Bible, in order to consume it, reflect on it, in a spirit of prayer, consume all the nutrients and vitamins, to enable my physical, spiritual and psychological growth, which then empowered by the same Holy Spirit I will be able to pass on these messages to others and even in my daily encounters Amen. I thank You oh God for this golden opportunity Amen.

² So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat. ³ He said to me, Mortal, eat this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it. Then I ate it; and in my mouth it was as sweet as honey.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 Verses 2 to 3)

Oh God my beloved Father, every time I meditate on the Bible by Your prompting, it is like eating one chapter after another, even though at times there are hard chapters that challenge me in relation to who I really am and what are the consequences of my sins I still continue these words as being sweet, because Your words are discipline to my soul. Thank You Jesus.

He said to me; Mortal, go to the house of Israel and speak my very words to them.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 Verse 4)

Oh God my beloved Father I thank You for this golden opportunity to spread Your Word. The Words that You spoke in the Holy Bible and wanted to be kept written in the form of a book. I thank You for giving me the opportunity to spread it even online Amen.

⁵ For you are not sent to a people of obscure speech and difficult language, but to the house of Israel- ⁶ not to many peoples of obscure speech and difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to them, they would listen to you. ⁷ But the house of Israel will not listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me; because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 Verses 5 to 7)

Oh God my Father, You have sent Your followers including myself, to spread the message of the good news to an educated people who is advanced in knowledge, science, technology and artificial intelligence. This is an open minded people, that has accepted scientific theory such as that of evolution among others but have rejected creationism, among other beliefs such as Your existence. However as You said as a nation, some have not listened to others, and will surely not listen to me, if I were to speak in public, however even though I am aware of this reality I will not stop sharing my prayers online as long as I have access to a computer and internet.

⁸ See I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads. ⁹ Like the hardest stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not fear them or be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 8 to 9)

Oh God my Father, even though the opposition appears to be hard, You will give me what it takes to overcome the enemy both within and lurking around me in the presence of many others Amen. Thank You Jesus for empowering me Amen.

¹⁰ He said to me; Mortal, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart and hear with your ears; ¹¹ then go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them. Say to them, "Thus says the Lord GOD"; whether they hear or refuse to hear.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 10 to 11)

Apparently oh God my Father, it is time for me to share with the world all that You have graciously shared with me. If it is Your will as it appears to be I will join a community of believers where I can share these messages and even receive from them all that You in turn share with them, so that my faith and Your relationship with me, can continue to grow Amen.

¹² Then the spirit lifted me up, and as the glory of the LORD rose from its place, I heard behind me the sound of loud rumbling; ¹³ it was the sound of the wings of the living creatures brushing against one another, and the sound of the wheels behind them, that sounded like a loud rumbling.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 12 to 13)

Oh God my Father, during the first time that You called me I Your voice was the sound of cracking thunder so much that I was on the verge of a heart attack an experience that I can never forget. In order for me and others to imagine such an awesome vision I am including the following link credited to John8thirtytwoPublishing

The vision of the Prophet Ezekiel

¹⁴ The spirit lifted me up and bore me away;  I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit,  the hand of the LORD being strong upon me.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 14)

Oh God, my Father I thank You for being my strength during my moments of weakness. I thank You for stretching Your strong arm to save me and to show me comfort and love. Amen.

¹³ I came to the exiles at Tel-abib who lived by the river Chebar. And I sat there among them, stunned, for seven days.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 13)

Oh God, my beloved Father, there come moments in life, when I can only be there for others and just listen to their experiences and letting that person express one's feelings. Such experiences may stimulate my own experiences however, I know that this is not my life. I pray to God that I am empowered by my Faith in You and Your faith in me during such situations and even though I am to empathize with the person, I never stop thanking You for the wonders that You are still performing in my life Amen.

¹⁴ The spirit lifted me up and bore me away; I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the hand of the LORD being strong upon me. ¹⁵ I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who lived by the river Chebar. And I sat there among them, stunned for seven days.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 14 to 15)

Oh God, my blessed Father, as in the case of the prophet, You make me meet many different people from different nations who come to seek refuge in Malta. I sit with them and share their bitterness and give a word of comfort when You enable me to do so. I thank You for this opportunity my God and Father Amen.

¹⁶ At the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me: ¹⁷ Mortal, I have made you a sentinel for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 16 to 17)

Oh God, my blessed Father, even though I am not a prophet or somebody famous who is grounded in philosophy and theology, You still share with me these prayers so that I can share with all those who are willing to read and listen to Your Word and not mine. Amen.

¹⁸ If I say to the wicked, "You shall surely die," and you give them no warning, or speak to warn the wicked from their wicked way, in order to save their life, those wicked persons shall die for their iniquity; but their blood I will require at your hand.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 18)

Oh God, my beloved Father, I thank You for reminding me of the commitment of spreading Your Word to all who wish to listen. I consider this as being my personal responsibility Amen.

¹⁹ But if you warn the wicked, and they do not turn from their wickedness, or from their wicked way, they shall die for their iniquity; but you will have saved your life.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 19)

Oh, brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ I am no theologian, neither am I a philosopher, I am a person of prayer who finds joy and peace in praying on the Word of God and sharing it with others. I pray that together we are led by the words of the Way of God so that He will grant us our Salvation Amen.

²⁰ Again, if the righteous turn from their righteousness and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before them, they shall die because you have not warned them, they shall die for their sin, and their righteous deeds that they have done shall not be remembered; but their blood I will require at your hand.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 20)

Oh God, my blessed Father, I thank You for this great assignment and responsibility of sharing these prayers online with all who are ready to listen reflect and open their hearts to You my God and Father. May You use me by giving me the correct words, insights and ideas in order to be of an inspiration and a light in the darkness to many others Amen.

²¹ If however, you warn the righteous not to sin, and they do not sin, they shall surely live, because they took warning, and you will have saved your life.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 21)

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for this opportunity of sharing Your Word with others, so that many more people will be saved by means of it but not by mine. I thank You for using me as a tool to reach others, my God and Father. I take on myself the responsibility of sharing the messages that You share with me both for my benefit and for that of others Amen.

²² Then the hand of the LORD was upon me there; and he said to me, Rise up, go out into the valley, and there I will speak with you.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 22)

Oh God, my Father, whenever You wish to speak to somebody You have a good habit of calling them to go to secluded places such as desert or as in this case the valley. I would also like You to call me so that we can speak to each other. The choice of place is yours, my God and Father Amen.

²³  So I rose up and went out into the valley; and the glory of the LORD stood there, like the glory that I had seen by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 23)

Oh God my Father, when I remember that night when You spoke to me in the depths of my sleep, I always treasure that moment when I made a direct experience of Your love might and power. This is an experience that I will never forget Amen.

²⁴ The spirit entered into me, and set me on my feet; and he spoke with me and said to me; Go, shut yourself inside your house.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 24)

Oh God my beloved Father, I pray for such a relationship with You, that I may discuss with You in the same way I discuss with others and in a more intimate way Amen. I pray that You answer my prayer Amen. May Your Holy Spirit come and possess my mind body and soul Amen.

²⁵ As for you mortal, cords shall be placed on you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you cannot go out among the people: ²⁶ and I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be speechless and unable to reprove them; for they are a rebellious house.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verses 25 to 26)

Oh God my blessed Father, there are moments when You give me words of knowledge and insight to share with others, however during other moments You condition me to keep my mouth shut and abstain from commenting or taking action. A typical event was yesterday when I was compelled to stand up for my friend however on the other hand if I had done so I may have done more harm than good for both of us. I thank You for keeping me silent. Amen.

²⁷ But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, "Thus says the Lord God"; Let those who refuse to hear; refuse for they are a rebellious house.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 3 verse 27)

Oh God my Father, brothers and sisters, followers of this blog on Blogspot and social media or G+. Pay heed, not to my words for I am only human subject to sin and weak in nature. Heed to the message of the Word of God my Father, who speaks to both our minds and our hearts. For those who accept to have a relationship with Him a bounty of love and grace awaits. God is still calling and waiting for our response Amen.

I would like to end this reflection on the third chapter on the book of the prophet Ezekiel with the following prayer.

I pray oh God my Father that You never stop using us in order to be prophets to each other and to the world. Even though as humans we are fragile You can still use us to be as Your messengers to others in many situations. Humble us Oh God my Father for as much as we can be used by You to help others we are also to be enlightened by others whom You use to speak to our hearts, mind and spirit Amen.

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2

The book of the Prophet Ezekiel

Chapter 2

¹ He said to me: O mortal, stand up on your feet, and I will speak with you.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 1)

Oh God my Father at times I am so tired that I can hardly stand up on my own two feet. If I did not have You as my crutch or means of support I do not know what I would do, how I would be able to live and cope with the onslaughts of life that I am tested by. I thank You for wanting me to stand up independently and not by means of relying on others. I thank You for being my strength in times of need and consolation as is the present time. I am ready to listen to You my God and Father. Amen.

² And when he spoke to me, a spirit entered into me and set me on my feet; and I heard him speaking to me.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 2)

Oh God my father if it is not Your Spirit that gives us the motivation to communicate with our spirit we would never be open to You. You take over our senses and we become in a higher state of being that cannot be understood by the human mind. I pray for such experiences my God and Father, so that we could spend more time together in an intimate relationship. Amen

³ He said to me, Mortal, I am sending you to the people of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have transgressed against me to this very day. ⁴ The descendants are impudent and stubborn. I am sending you to them, and you shall say to them, "Thus says the Lord God."

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 3 to 4)

Oh God my Father, even though I am not a prophet as in the case of Ezekiel, even though I am a sinner among sinners, when You give me an opportunity to spread the message of the Good News I do not remain silent, for if I am silent I am not being a witness to others as You wish me to be. I thank You for this blog, my God and Father, for by means of it many people are being reached and if it is Your will by means of the messages that You give me every morning and evening these will be a means of helping others to come to make an experience of You in their lives and grow in their relationship with You as I am doing each day of my life Amen. Thank You, God for this opportunity.

⁵ Whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house), they shall know that there has been a prophet among them.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 5)

Oh God something that has not changed in human nature is our attitude of rebellion towards You and even towards each other. To obey others and or to be subject to others goes against our nature. However, I pray that You help us to condition our sinful nature, so that it will transform into one that is loyal and subject to You Amen.

⁶ And you, O mortal, do not be afraid of them, and do not be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words, and do not be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 6)

Oh God my Father, I am sure that You are aware of the conditions I am in. I am truly living with scorpions who on the point of disagreement are ready to hit me with their deadly tails. I am exposed to harmful words, that are harming my self-esteem. There was a time when words did not matter, but now I have become so sensitive to them, that the least negative insult hits home. I pray for Your protection my God and Father Amen.

⁷ You shall speak my words to them, whether they hear or refuse to hear; for they are a rebellious house. ⁸ But you mortal, hear what I say to you, do not be rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you. ⁹ I looked, and a hand was stretched out to me, and a written scroll was in it. ¹⁰ He spread it before me; it had writing on the front and on the back, and written on it were words of lamentation and mourning and woe.

(The Book of the Prophet Ezekiel Chapter 2 verse 6)

Oh God my Father, Your food is not like that of the world. The words found in the Bible are nourishment to my soul, even if at times it makes me aware of my sins and makes me feel guilty for my sins. During other times the messages that You pass on to me are very positive and empowering. I pray that You keep on feeding me of Your Holy Food Amen.

Oh God my beloved Father, I would like to end this second chapter of the book of the Prophet Ezekiel with the following prayer:-

Oh God my Father, I thank You for the relationship that You have with me. Every morning You feed me chapter after chapter of the Bible during these moments of prayer and reflection. I thank You for this heavenly food Amen.
